Try Deeper Self-Care

A lot of people think self-care means going shopping, eating indulgent foods, binge-watching tv, or focusing on beauty routines but, while these things can provide temporary distraction, they don’t address the deeper issues that make people genuinely happy and healthy.
Real self-care is when you work on the deeper things that will lead you to living a better life, like healing the hurts from your past and becoming as emotionally healthy as you can be.
Instead of doing superficial and temporary things to feel better for a little while, try working on the deeper things in life that will bring you long-term happiness. Heal your past trauma, build up your self-esteem, love yourself and others, and you’ll live a much better life.
